Seasonal Kitchen Trends 2020

Seasonal kitchen trends 2020 have evolved and adapted from styles and themes established over the last few years. Elements of these trends will play a part in how to evolve and adapt homes to the ever-changing world. However, there are some elements of kitchen design that surpass time.  Comfort and a functional space that is a joy to cook and work in, will always be the main objectives.

Here are Three Seasonal Trends to Consider for Your Kitchen:

Sleek Kitchens

Sleek kitchens continue to be high on the popularity scale.  Gloss finishes such as Rempp’s Perth range gives luster and shine.  Pared with handle less door furniture and integrated appliances for a streamlined look.  To soften the edges, coordinate with soft lighting and wood-like flooring. Karndean Flooring have a host of practical and suitable ranges.

Copper Brass and Rose Gold

Copper, brass and rose gold hardware have taken over from chrome and aluminium of the last decade.  They lend a warmth and tactility to the mood of the room. An eclectic mix can be achieved by adding a vintage hammered brass planter to an open shelf to add a more lived-in feel.

Seasonal Colours

Pantone’s 2020 colour of the year – classic blue is brighter than navy.  It works well when used with a pale quartz worktop and neutral coloured walls.  The two-toned scheme in kitchens is very much on trend.  Balancing dark and light is a skill required for an up to date look. Blue is set to overtake from grey which has been the colour of the last decade.

However, blue may not be to everyone’s taste and Dulux’s Tranquil Dawn, a neutral misty colour, between green, grey and blue, is serene and more neutral. Green is grounding and easy on the eye.  It makes less of a statement than a bold blue and is just as much on trend.
